Mothers Day Weekend 2021 - Cape Otway

 7th - 9th May 2021

$188 for 2 nights 

2 adults & 2 children 

We had a credit at Bimbi Park from a pervious booking that we couldn't attend due to a lockdown so at the last minute decided to get away for Mothers Day weekend.

We booked a standard no ensuite basic cabin to keep it as cheap as possible but when we arrived late on Friday night we found we had been upgraded at no cost to a standard 2 bedroom cabin with an ensuite which was the same as what we stayed in last time we were there 

On Saturday morning we headed to 

Maits Rest Rain Forest Walk

Maits Rest is a self guided rainforest Board Walk in the Otway National Park between Cape Otway and Apollo Bay, it is about 800m & takes about 30 minutes return and is a gentle grade

We then backtracked a little bit and went to check out 

Johanna Beach 

It was freezing cold but that didn't stop the kids playing in the water 

  

In the afternoon we headed back to the park for a look around, some mini golf and a play 

Followed by a fire & marshmallows

Sunday was Mothers Day and we headed home along the Great Ocean Road, stopping along the way

Marriners Lookout

Marriners Lookout is on the outskirts of Apollo Bay and is a 10 minute easy walk from the car park, the views of the ocean, beach and town are spectacular 

Next stop was the Lorne hotel for lunch 

and then the Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie & Ice creamery for dessert

It was the perfect Mothers Day weekend and I am one lucky Mummy
