22nd - 26th April 2023

$327.60, 4 nights
2 Adults & 2 Children

Mason had his first footy game of the season today....in Barwon Heads so we towed the caravan down to the footy and then set off afterwards to Phillip Island

After Set up we went for a walk out the back gate to check out the water behind our park. On the way we saw a black wallaby

Sunday we headed to the Koala Conservation Reserve

"Wander tree-top boardwalks to watch koalas up close in their natural habitat. Take a walk through the woodlands and enjoy the abundant birdlife, wallabies and echidnas"

This was a nice place, with board walks and different areas to try to find koalas in the trees, there was also a lot of information nature play and some activities. We even found some of our own koalas in the trees

After the koalas we had lunch at the RSL which had a play area for the kids

That evening we went to the Penguin Parade

"Phillip Island is home to the largest Little Penguin colony in the world. You can experience the magic of watching these amazing seabirds waddle home from the ocean to their burrows any night of the year from our viewing platforms and boardwalks."

I didn't take many photos but after what felt like a very long wait with some mild rain we saw lots of penguins

Next day we went to Amaze N Things

This is an exciting world of Illusions, puzzles & Mazes, this is a really cool place that we all loved a lot

Completed the maze!

We went back to the campsite for a play

and some sunset fishing

The next day we went to Forrest Caves

Forrest Caves are sea caves formed by erosion of the cliffs over many years and can only be explored and accessed at low tide. Starting at the Forrest Caves car park, walk up the steps and turn left when you get to the beach. The walk passes by large sand dunes, home to thousands of short-tailed shearwaters from October to April.

* Please note that the caves can only be accessed at low tide. Be careful of changing tides and waves.

  • Difficulty - Easy
  • Distance - 2km return
  • Time - 45 minutes
  • Start / Finish - Forrest Caves Car Park

Next we went to the Nobbies Centre and went for a walk on the boardwalk

The kids were getting tired so we didn't go into the centre but we did see some little penguins on the walk

We went back to the caravan for a rest and later a swim in the pool and our last night

On the way home we stopped at the Phillip Island Chocolate Factory. There is so much to do there with chocolate fountain waterfall, chocolate statue, chocolate village, chocolate photos, interactive window displays, information on different chocolate, interactive chocolate games & challenges and you can make your own chocolate creations.

We had lots of fun in Phillip Island and the kids have been asking when we can go back ever since.
