Summer 2025/2026 - Warrnambool

 Shipwreck Bay Holiday Park

3rd January - 10th January 2025
Section 19, site 49

The 9th Year in a row and as always I was slack with taking photos.

This year Mason wanted to try out the swag for the first time

I actually had to go home to work the day we arrived in Warrnambool and didn't come back until lunch time on the 5th.

we went to the Warrnambool Grey Hound seaside festival

The entertainment this night wasn't as good as it has been on previous years but it was still fun.

The next day was the boys annual golf day, we took the kids to the shops in the morning and then swimming in the pool at the caravan park across the road in the afternoon

Wednesday was nice and warm so we spent some time at the beach and the boys went fishing the the evening.

When the boys were fishing we went in search of ice cream but everything was already closed so a slushy was the best we could do

Thursday we went over to Lake pertobe playground and played some cricket and had a play on the park.

We went to the carnival in the evening

On Friday everyone else headed home, the weather was 44 in Bannockburn and still pretty warm in Warrnambool but no where near as bad. We were due to go home on Saturday morning but with very strong winds forecast for the Saturday we decided to pack up on Friday, stay the day and drive home that night.

We went to the beach for our annual name photos

The kids walked down and got some slushy's while we were packing up

our friends that we stayed with in Port Fairy came into Warrnambool & we went to the summer market and had a look around and some dinner. They headed to the carnival and we headed home.

The drive home was quite scary with lots of lightening and with the heatwave unfortunately Victoria was experiencing quite a few large fire and a lot of smaller ones all over the state. We were watching the emergency app quite closely to make sure we could still travel home the way we planned as we were close to some of the fires and could see the flames at one point.

We arrived home at around 10:30pm and just like that another summer holiday was over

Summer 2025/2026 - Port Fairy

 Port Fairy Gardens Caravan Park

111 Griffith Street, Port Fairy

26th December 2024 - 3rd January 2025

Site 386

$810 for 8 nights

We headed back to Port Fairy again this year for the first week of our summer break. Unfortunately I had to work Christmas Day and Boxing Day this year so I didn't head down until the 27th December. The rest of the family headed down on Boxing Day and set up camp.

Unfortunately I was very slack with taking photos this year, it was a very relaxing week, As there were a few families we knew all staying close together and lots of kids between us most days were spent with the kids playing with their friends, bike riding, playing cricket (lots of cricket) the girls had a market stall selling jewellery they made, going to the park or playing tennis it was very relaxing and we didn't leave the caravan park a lot.

On Sunday, the day after I arrived was the boys annual golf day, they headed off in the morning to play golf and then went to the Pub for lunch. We headed to the beach again that day with the kids.

The next day Michael was invited fishing on our friends boat so he left very early in the morning to do that. It was the annual bike decorating so I headed into town & Kayleigh & Nash decorated their bikes.

When the fishing boys were heading back in we headed down to the boat ramp to see them & the boys had a ride in the boat

It was back to the beach in the afternoon and the giant slip and slide in the evening

On New Years Eve everyone headed to the Oak & Anchor for Cocktails and live music

We ordered Pizza and then watched the street parade

Headed back to the Oak & Anchor for a few more drinks and then went and watched the early fireworks

New Years Day we headed up to the Canon Firing but unfortunately it had been cancelled, we are not sure why, in the evening the boys headed off to the speedway and Kayleigh and I went out for dinner with Andy & Mia and Tammy & Olivia for a girls night.

On our last day the boys headed to the 20/20 cricket game which is played at another caravan park and I took the kids to visit Matt & Rach and then to try out the new park in Port Fairy

We had another great year and cant wait for next year all ready
