It was back to Shipwreck Bay in Warrnambool for the 7th Year!
We stayed for 2 weeks (almost) this year but had to move sites again

Michael & Mason got Covid for Christmas this year and Nash on boxing day so we has to delay our time away for a few days and arrived in Warrnambool on 29th December.
After setting up our camp we headed over to the market for a look and some fairy floss
The next day we spend some time playing at the playground at Lake Pertobe
That night we went and checked out the Grey hound racing. They were holding their Seaside Festival where there is racing multiple nights throughout the week with kids activities on every night.
We went on the 2nd night of the festival when they had a jumping castle, face painting, laser tag, Calisthenics, fossil digging and cupcake decorating.
We had dinner there
As you arrived you had the chance to enter the kids in a competition to be selected to be a Junior Greyhound Handler of the night. This meant you got to lead a greyhound to the starting line and into their box, watch the race rom infield and have a photo with the winning Greyhound & Mason won!!

The next day was New Years Eve, we spend the day the the Hopkins Rivermouth, which was a nice spot to play but quite hard to get to as the sand was so deep and thick and the hill quite steep
On Monday the people that were staying on our second site left a day early, so we decided to move sites a day early, which turned out to be a good thing because there was some rain on the 2nd which was the day we should have been moving.
We went to the bike track before the move
and then Mason & I went to the speedway that night
On the 2nd we went to the shops in the morning to avoid the rain and try to get some school supplies organised. Granny and Pa arrived and in the evening we went for a walk to the Breakwater
Wednesday I took Mason and Kayleigh for a round of mini golf
Later that day David, Madi, Aleiyah and Oliver came down to stay for a few nights
We played some cricket at the park on Thursday morning, the boys went fishing in the afternoon and then we went to the carnival in the evening
Friday the 5th was golf day, Michael, Pa, David & Harry went and played golf. Granny, Madi & I took the kids over to the playground in the morning
Saturday was the hottest day we had all holiday and we took the blow up boat down to Stingray Bay
Warrnambool got 50mm of rain in less than an hour. Luckily we have been through this before so as soon as we heard how much rain was coming we started preparing. Everything was picked up off the annex floor and trenches were dug all around. Thanks to the trenches the water didn't get in the annex this time but gosh did it rain, the pictures just don't do it justice
We could not leave the caravan at all that night because the rain was so heavy, we couldn't even get to Grannys caravan to get the dinner she had made for us.
The next day wasn't too bad but more rain was predicted so we decided to go out for Lunch to Macys Bistro
and then for a game of bowling
Turns out we got back just in time for the rains to come again
The weather was still pretty average on our last day but we went for a quick trip down to the beach for our annual sand photos
Recovering from Covid & Bad weather we didn't do as much exploring this year and it probably wasn't the best summer holidays but it was still nice to have a break and be away from home.
