For Grannys birthday last year (or maybe the year before) we gave her a present to feed the Giraffes at Halls Gap Zoo and we finally went and did it!

We arrived on Friday just after lunch and spent some time setting up and having a look around the park

On Saturday we headed into Halls Gap and went for a walk to the Venus Baths

Venus Baths are one of the Grampians National Park's most unique and stunning attractions, where Stoney Creek flows over a beautiful sandstone shelf, creating gorgeous pools of flowing water with sloping stone walls either side.

The walk finishes in the botanical Gardens which is a fun little informative garden,

We had lunch at the bakery and then headed to the Halls Gap Zoo

We had given Granny a voucher for a giraffe encounter which she finally got to use

We went to the Halls Gap hotel for dinner and sat outside on the balcony under the heaters and it was so relaxing

The next day we went bushwalking,

We started off heading to splitters falls but there wasn't much to see

We knew the walk to the pinnacle from this pot was closed but we headed towards the Grand Canyon anyway and went as far as we could and turned around and came back

Next we jumped back in the car and headed towards the Balconies. This walk starts at Reed Lookout and Balconies Carpark, it is a 1km and takes approx 30 mins along a well formed gravel path.

Reeds Lookout

After the Balconies we went to McKenzie Falls picnic area and had a sausage sizzle for lunch. Granny was all walked out and had a rest after lunch.

Dad and Mason walked down the 260 narrow steps to get to the bottom of the falls

While Mum, Kayleigh, Nash & Pa did the McKenzie Falls lookout walk which is a 1.9km walk which takes you to a lookout where you have view of the falls and we could see Dad & Mason at the bottom.

Then it was our last night before heading home
