Lake Mountain

As the kids have never seen snow and have been asking to go we decided to do a day trip to Lake Mountain for some snow play & Tobogganing
We packed the night before and our plan was to put the kids in the car in their pyjamas and change them when we stopped along the way. Of course they were excited and were up extra early so we dressed them in their thermals and trackies and left home just before 7
They were good in the car so we drove 2.5 hours to Marysville before stopping to hire toboggans and meet Bruce & Madi, Aleiyah & Oliver who came with us
We spent some time on the bigger toboggan runs first and as they got busy moved to the side of the runs
The sun was shinning and it was a beautiful day but of course this meant there wasn't a lot of natural snow. But there was enough to build a snowman and make snow angels
We had lunch in the cafe and then headed back outside and had a go on the tube slides
We headed back to the toboggan slopes and some more snow play before being kicked off the mountain when it closed at 4pm
We had Maccas in Diamond Creek for dinner and arrived home at about 7:30pm. it was a big day but well worth it and the kids had such a good time and are keen to try out snowboarding next time!
