Arthurs Seat - April 2022

Big 4  Mornington Peninsula Holiday Park

2 Robinsons Road, Frankston

22nd April - 25th April 2022

Ensuite Suite 101
$202.50, 3 nights
2 adults, 2 children

I have wanted to go to Arthurs Seat for awhile and go on the Eagle and to the Enchanted Adventure Garden so when the government released a $200 cashback incentive when you spend $400 or more to travel in Victoria it was the perfect opportunity to offset some of the costs of the tourist activities that we don't usually do a lot of when caravanning.

The park we stayed at was about 20 minutes from Arthurs seat & on Saturday we headed up to the Eagle.

Once we reached the summit, the map we had been given was incredibly hard to follow & definitely not accurate, we could not find the picnic area so we found a nice clearing to have our picnic lunch

eventually with the help of a park ranger we found our way onto the circuit walk and the picnic area & play ground

We followed the circuit around passing the Matthew Flinders Cairn, Bay Lookout, Seawind Gardens, William Rickets sculptures, the duck pond & Indigenous Garden & back to the Eagle Base Station

It was beautiful up at the Summit, as were the views from the eagle on the way back down.

We spent the afternoon at the Caravan Park enjoying the facilitates & the kids had made a few friends so they were happy having a play with them.

& a bath in the shower to finish off a big day

The next day we went back up to Arthurs Seat Summit, I didn't realise there was actually an "Arthur's Seat" so the first stop of the day was to get photos on the seat

Then we met David, Madi, Aleiyah (& her boyfriend) & Ollie who had caught the ferry over and we went to the Enchanted Adventure Garden

Enchanted Adventure is an award-winning natural attraction nestled in the beautiful hinterland of Arthurs Seat on the Mornington Peninsula.

From our epic Tube Slides to our Tree Surfing courses, giant brainteaser puzzles, Canopy Walk, Sky Scramble and more, there is adventure for adults and kids alike! Lose yourself in the colours of themed gardens, marvel at the structures of hedge topiary and giant sculptures or get tangled in one of our mazes.

When we first walked in we were faced with huge adventure play ground

Next was the spring maze

Then the original Hedge Maze, the turf maze where you walk around on flat ground following a path to finish the maze

The Children's Maze was great & I wish I had taken more photos, there is different themed gardens, life sized snakes & ladders, a boat & sand pit, cubby house, fairy Garden all inside the maze

The new Hedge Maze

& the Tyre Maze

And then it was time for a lunch break in the beautiful gardens

After lunch we tried out the tube slides, there was a single one where the kids could go down by themselves and then a larger one where you could go down with an adult and a child and race in the 3 lanes. It was lots of fun but as the lines were long we could only have 1 go on the big one and the kids had a couple of turns on the smaller ones.

Next it was tree surfing!! The kids went on the nippers course which is designed for children 4-12 years, kids aged 4-5 need a 1:1 parent ratio so Michael went on with Kayleigh. It has 3 levels of climbing, jumping & swinging up in the trees. As each level progresses so does the degree of difficulty and each level finishes with a zip line.

The top level is not suitable for the accompanying adult and as I am realising now is not suitable for kids under 6 but somehow Kayleigh managed to be up there, it  was quite difficult for her and she needed a bit of help from the staff and Oliver & had to be rescued a couple of times but she did so well to make it through

David & Madi came back to our amp site for a quick drink before heading home and we left the following morning

It was a really good weekend & we had lots of fun exploring Arthurs Seat, I am glad we finally  did it!
